This is the usual set of small early concepts and sketches that will be used in the development of a full-fledged game, so do not take Downwards as a full-fledged game or demo.

Full game in development

Since 01/21/2024, a full game based on the "Downwards" prototype has been under development. You can support the project by leaving a good comment or sending a small donation.

Prototype

You find yourself in a lonely, locked room with one bed, a closet and ventilation. The terminal offers you to perform several tests for experimental calibration. How many others besides you were in this room, and how many more will there be?

About development

As you know, the game is under development, so if you encounter any bugs, you can write to me in my discord: bleeding.brimstone. I would like to express my special gratitude to you right away.

(I noticed just now that i uploaded my comment to the devlog, instead of an actual game page lol)

Wow, what a brief yet unsettling story. I do hope that the game could have been a tad longer, but since it's only a demo, I'm sure it won't be a problem once the full game is released. Thank you, that was fun. /gen

Thanks, but I think that the development of the full game may be delayed due to the banal lack of personal time. Studying takes a lot of time.

There does not seem to be much to prototype. You answer some few questions and a mysterious narrator railroads you into behaving how they tell you. Could make for an interesting horror about obedience but there's very little to comment about

Downwards does not position itself as a full-fledged project. This is an ordinary prototype / technology demonstration, which is mostly needed for the developer. For the most part, this is an interactive diary of early sketches and concepts that will be revealed only with the release of a full-fledged game, which is currently actively under development.

how many endings are there and how to get them?:>

At the time of my reply, the game has only one blurry ending. The game is a regular prototype and my short trial project. A game codenamed "Outwards" is currently in development, it is based on the prototype of Downwards. It has two or three endings planned.
